iMessage is the default messaging app for 1.8B+ Apple device users. There's no official bot API, but BlueBubbles makes it possible — and Clawship handles the AI layer.

How it will work

Set up BlueBubbles

Install BlueBubbles on a Mac that stays online. This bridges iMessage to Clawship via a local API.

Connect to Clawship

Enter your BlueBubbles server URL and API password in the Clawship dashboard. Select your AI model.

Text your bot

Send a regular iMessage to the connected Apple ID. The AI responds through native Apple Messages — blue bubbles and all.

Do I need a Mac?

Yes. BlueBubbles requires a Mac (or Mac mini) running macOS that stays powered on. It acts as the bridge between iMessage and Clawship.

Does it work with SMS too?

BlueBubbles supports both iMessage and SMS fallback, so non-Apple users can text the number and still get AI responses.

Is this an official Apple integration?

No. This uses BlueBubbles, a third-party bridge. Apple doesn't offer an official iMessage API for bots.
