Are conversations really encrypted?

Yes. Signal uses end-to-end encryption by default. The AI processes messages on the Clawship server, but Signal's encryption protects messages in transit.

Do I need a dedicated phone number?

Yes. The bot needs its own Signal account, which requires a phone number. A prepaid SIM or VoIP number works.
